An Introduction To My New Jam
Since I haven't yet written anything on the topic of my new and first ever modern political hero, Ron Paul, I thought it was about time that I give him some screen space. For starters, here's an informative Chicago Tribune write-up on Dr. Paul. And for a little more insight and humor check out this sharp list of why he has earned so much attention and credibility with smart, young people today: 7 Reasons Why the Internet Loves Ron Paul. (Maybe in '88 he was just a bit ahead of his time.)
Even when so many people seem fed up with the defunct, disingenuous state of American politics, Paul's clear convictions towards a dramatically reduced government are often seen as just too nutty to get him anywhere. This perception saddens me and my newly awakened interest in modern politics, but I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on his chances in the race or my own preemptive disappointment.
